Thanks to her European travels and contacts and her elevated social position in Argentina, Lidy Prati grew into the pathway of geometric art in her country and of the Argentinian season of Concrete Art. The artist channelled her diverse interests in the world of art, which included Renaissance European art as well as the more recent abstract art currents, into a form of elemental research whose importance has only been recently recognized.
