Composer Nico Cartosio, who once debuted straight into the TOP 20 Billboard Classical, presents his new programme In Principio era l’Acqua (In the Beginning was the Water). The concert will take place at Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista on June 25th at 9 pm, with participation of The Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana and The Parma Opera choir, for a sold-out event. “Water existed since the Beginning – says Cartosio – before God’s act of creation. It’s the oldest element existing, and it keeps the memory of every thing. This is why I consider the Venetian Lagoon as the keeper of time.” The choice of the venue is quite appropriate, since the Gospel of John inspired the concert’s programme.
