Just another day in the life of Eyüp, a poor boy who is involved in the drying and salting of tomatoes under the scorching summer sun, anxiously waiting for his daily wage. A story to understand how and how often each of us comes into direct or indirect contact with death; how every day the possibilities of dying – or killing someone – are countless.
The Turkish filmmaker Murat Fıratoğlu (1983) directed, wrote, produced, and acted in the film presented in Venice this year. He has a background in film from the Diyarbakır Art Center Cinema Club and has participated in several workshops conducted by the Turkish director Reha Erdem. He lives in Istanbul, where he combines his legal practice with his film career.
