An amazing roundup of film, passion, and talent dedicated to the most international of Italian actors, Marcello Matroianni, on the 100th year of his birth. The exhibition, curated by Laura Delli Colli, opened last August 30 at San Servolo Island and is a collection of archive material from the Cineteca Nazionale, the Italian national archive of film, and will offer a wonderful journey into Matroianni’s world. Movie stills, his art, his daily life in pictures taken by the many stage photographers who worked with him as well as footage of the actor talking about himself, Fellini, and ‘his’ filmmakers as well as his passions, the women in his life, and that Latin lover aura he just couldn’t shake off.
