César Franck’s Sonata for violin and piano had a lasting impact on chamber music. Composer Nadia Boulanger was born the year of the sonata’s premiere, and made it her life’s mission to support the heritage of such important figures as Franck and Dabussy. After Miriam Prandi’s and Gabriele Cercano’s concert, a conference (in Italian) will illustrate the Festival’s theory.
