Fresh from receiving the special MEI career award for his “virtuoso path that led him from self-production to victory at the Sanremo Festival”, Diodato is expected at the Toniolo in Mestre on 5 October, the evening after the award ceremony in Faenza, for one of the sixteen stops on his autumn tour that will close what can only be described as a “golden year” for the singer-songwriter from Aosta. An intense and sophisticated artist, one of the most appreciated on the Italian music scene, Diodato boasts four albums of new songs to his credit. He participated in the 74th Sanremo Festival with Ti muovi, an energetic and deep ballad, already a gold record, which he wrote, composed and arranged. With La mia terra, an original song for the film Palazzina Laf by Michele Riondino, he won the Nastro d’Argento 2024, the David di Donatello, and the Ciak d’Oro for best original song, as well as the Targa Tenco for ‘best single song’. 2024 also saw the release of Ho acceso un fuoco, an album recorded live at the Officine Meccaniche in Milan, which captures and crystallises the emotions of the live shows and the energy experienced on stages all over Italy in recent years. After the success of the summer tour in Brazil, which inspired the new single Molto amore, Diodato now returns to the intimate and authentic dimension of the theatre, where he knows how to tell his story at its best, from the latest hits to the songs that have marked his career such as Fai rumore, with which he won the Ariston in 2020, and Che vita meravigliosa, milestones that have consecrated him among the best-loved voices on the current music scene.
