One of the most famous Venetians in the world is certainly Giacomo Casanova. Casanova was born 300 years ago, and Venice is eager to celebrate a citizen that might have been controversial while alive, but is sure to seduce everyone in the present. Giacomo – Una storia d’amore (lit. ‘a love story’) is a water show inspired by Antonella Barina’s Sette Canzoni per Casanova (lit. ‘Seven Songs for Casanova’) that will turn the inner basin of the Arsenale into an immersive stage over seven chapters of amazing real and fictional stories. Historical Venetian boats will accompany the audience in a symbolic itinerary into dance, stage machinery shows, magic, history, and emotion. Meet the Giacomo Casanova hiding behind the mask, under a whole new light.
Double performance at 6:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
February 21, 22, 23 and every day from February 27 to March 4.
