The exhibition Dialoghi sull’umanità (Dialogues on Humanity) presents twenty-two photographs offering new perspectives on humanitarian principles, encouraging reflection on the concept of humanity. The images highlight the diversity of human experiences and the significance of humanitarian acts in everyday life, emphasizing the power of photography in conveying these values. Divided into five sections, the exhibition takes an interactive approach, inviting visitors to explore how photography can help us understand the principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality, and independence. These concepts, essential to humanitarian action, also resonate in daily life. For Switzerland, culture – and photography in particular – is a key instrument for building peace, fostering communication, and understanding conflict zones. In this sense, the exhibition serves as a platform for dialogue and exchange, offering new perspectives and imagining possible futures for lasting peace.

Dialoghi sull’umanità is hosted by the Consulate of Switzerland in Venice at Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi and was created in collaboration with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Photo Elysée Museum in Lausanne, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
