Katasterismós is the new site-specific project by g.olmo stuppia, a visual and conceptual exploration accompanying the film Sposare la notte Ep.V. Hosted at SPUMA Space for the Arts on the Giudecca, the exhibition brings together fabric and clay sculptures, photographs, and a 4K video installation, creating an evocative dialogue between light and shadow.
The project is part of the Sposare la notte cycle, launched in 2022 as part of the Public Program of the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. It delves into themes of migration and arrival as metaphors for search and transformation. The exhibition layout, which enhances the architecture of the former brewery, further amplifies its performative dimension.
Curated by Giuseppe Amedeo Arnesano, Elena Cera, and Giulia Gelmi, the exhibition will travel to Paris, Palermo, Milan, and New York. The project will be accompanied by the book Katasterismós. Una deriva dentro “Sposare la notte”, published by Postmedia Books in Italian and English.
