On the occasion of the anniversary of the record 187 cm high water that hit Venice on November 12, 2019, the Venetian production company Ginko Film is bringing a free screening of La città delle Sirene, a film that dedicates one of its most poignant passages to the Conservatorio di Venezia Benedetto Marcello, one of the cultural institutions most affected by the flood, on November 9 at 6 p.m. Prior to the screening there will be a panel discussion in which Fabio Moretti, President of the Conservatory, Melissa Conn Director of Save Venice – to whom we owe the restoration of the water-damaged volumes of the institution’s library, Carlo Santagiustina researcher at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice who promoted the AquaGranda digital archive, and director Giovanni Pellegrini will take part.
