A rich and select collection of works by Toni Fontanella (1915-2014), a true master of Venetian painting, curated by Stefano Cecchetto and Luca Fontanella. On display are numerous paintings, many of which are still unpublished, representing the places of affection where the painter drew inspiration for his works.
The theme of landscape and still life has always been the distinctive hallmark of Toni Fontanella. In the exhibition I luoghi dell’anima (lit. The places of the soul), these appearances, drawn from reality, are the result of an apparent reality that emerges in the patterns of liquid and material structures, where the collected intimacy of the vision takes shape in the serene feeling of color.
