The paintings of Márton Nemes look at techno and rave subculture cultures through a psychedelic and flamboyant chromatic lens, playing on the exaltation of opposite polarities such as reflective-opaque, frame-pictorial field, gestural-digital, presence-absence. Divided into three distinct spaces, the project can be fully understood only when the visitor is at the center of the Pavilion, a position with clear symbolic and ontological significance. In an era of polarized social phenomena that exclude the contemplation of nuances of reality, a humanistic message invoking openness and tolerance comes from Hungary.
