Starting from Pala, the utopian island in a famous novel by Aldous Huxley, the Pavilion presents the works of four artists who intertwine narratives through different media around themes of national, cultural, and social identity. From reflections on individual alienation in society to a homage to the country’s rich multi-ethnic and multicultural diversity, from new modes of communication engaging the audience firsthand to exploring the ideology of travel and migration, Pala offers a multifaceted and forward-thinking vision of the contemporary world.
