Șerban Savu’s reflection focuses on an alienating alternance between work and rest and on the rhythms imposed by a production system which is more and more disconnected from people’s primary physical and mental needs. At the Pavilion in the Giardini, the artist’s realistic and documentary style permeates a polyptych of about forty paintings accompanied by architectural models adorned with mosaics. In town, the project continues by turning the New Gallery of the Romanian Institute of Culture and Humanistic Research into a mosaic workshop.
