MOON LAKE
Jeannie Sui Wonders (USA, 12’)
Tess, a quiet and slightly eccentric girl, finds herself staining the floor during a sleepover, sparking a film that investigates the emotional turmoil of female adolescence. It explores themes of body-shaming and the insecurities that arise from it.

Cansu Baydar (Turkey, 20’)
After fleeing the war in Syria, Hanna and her brother Nader settle in Istanbul. When Hanna meets Ibo, a young Turk, she is torn between her dream of emigrating to Europe and her responsibilities toward Nader.

IL BURATTINO E LA BALENA
Roberto Catani (France, Italy, 8’)
This short film, created using traditional hand-drawn animation on white paper, tells the story of a puppet who never becomes a child.

NIME BAZ, NIME BASTEH (AJAR)
Atefeh Jalali (Spain, 13’)
A woman and a man involved in a clandestine affair, spend the night together in her apartment. However, their relationship takes an unexpected turn when, that same night, the man’s wife is arrested during a protest.

Joe Weiland, Finn Constantine (France, UK, 13’)
Marion, a mother and the only woman in France to practice bull jumping, represents the journey of a woman carving her path in a male-dominated world, trying to balance motherhood with the pursuit of her dream.

DUYAO MAO (THE POISON CAT)
Tian Guan (China, 18’)
Hunter Tai begins to sense an inexplicable connection between the mysterious events unfolding in the village and his wife’s strange behaviour. His traditional life starts to unravel, mirroring the ominous prophecy in the legend of the Poison Cat.

RENÉ VA ALLA GUERRA (RENÉ GOES TO WAR)
Luca Ferri, Morgan Menegazzo, Mariachiara Pernisa (Italy, 19’)
Young René lives in the woods of Slovenia, spending his summer holidays immersed in solitary games. He imagines himself defending his country’s borders from enemy invaders, creating heroic adventures in his imagination.
