Blue Lounge debuts at the Venice Film Festival as a new hub for media and industry professionals, set up in the revamped Bluepool at Bluemoon. Designed by 2night and Echo, it hosts live Radio Capital broadcasts, MYmovies content, and the GEDI newsroom, enriching the constellation of “cinema houses” at the Lido.
The “cinema houses” around the festival area have fortunately grown year by year, finally beginning to create a network – a composite offering for media and industry professionals that completes, as is normal for any international festival, the systemic structure of a major event like this. Among the novelties this year, Blue Lounge stands out: a space designed and built in the renovated Bluepool of the Bluemoon, an iconic seaside location opening for the first time to the festival universe and communication. The project, by 2night and Echo, functions as a kind of live newsroom for the GEDI group, with correspondents from the flagship newspapers La Stampa and La Repubblica on site, and digital and live content from MYmovies and Radio Capital, which broadcasts its daily program Cose che Capital from here every day from 12 to 14, hosted by Betty Senatore.
The most important Italian cinema streaming site, MYmovies, celebrated its 25th anniversary here this year with a lively party on Sunday, August 30.

As the driving force behind this remarkable space, its editorial team works daily on interviews and meetings with producers, directors, actors, and distributors. But beyond the content produced, Blue Lounge is an ideal venue for professionals and media: a place to relax, work, meet, enjoy a coffee, or have a quality lunch at the modest price of just €20 (!!).
Of course, Cannes is still far ahead with its extensive beach-side entertainment system, but finally, the sea is calling here too – and cinema is beginning to answer.
