In the new amphitheater designed by Mario Cucinella, the Fondazione Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Scuola Nazionale di Cinema and San Servolo Srl present L’Atto Creativo, a series of talks organized on the occasion of the 82nd Venice Film Festival. On the stage of San Servolo, five different and authoritative voices – the conductor Beatrice Venezi, actor Cristiano Caccamo, percussionist Tony Esposito, artist Marzia Migliora, and physicist Guido Tonelli – engage in conversation with critic and radio host Steve Della Casa. At the heart of the series is a theme that spans languages and disciplines: creativity as both spark and method. Music, cinema, art, and science – four realms that rarely share the same space – intertwine here to explore what it means to invent, to take risks, and to transform intuition into expression. From the gestures of a conductor to the strikes of percussion, from acting research to the brushstroke of an artist, and even to the vertigo of contemporary physics, each session opens a window onto the most unpredictable side of creative thought, offering the audience a fresh perspective behind the curtain.
Admission is free. A cocktail reception follows.
