The Festival takes shape with a line-up poised between masters and new bets: from Nanni Moretti to Danny Boyle, from Werner Herzog to Kore-eda, through to Wenders and Guadagnino, the Lido once again turns to cinema as a way of looking at the present.

Artistic Director Alberto Barbera has awarded the Golden Lions for Lifetime Achievement of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival to Ellen Burstyn and George Clooney, who has long been a familiar presence at the Lido. The festival will take place from September 2 to 12.
