Second appointment of the Music Celebration International concert season in the Chiesa della Pietà with the Academy of Our Lady of Mercy Lauralton Hall, from Milford, Connecticut. The exclusively female choir is made up of 43 very young singers who will offer the public their sophisticated and exciting interpretation of the classics by Rutter, Copland, Bach, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Vivaldi and Duruflé. Our Lady of Mercy Academy Lauralton Hall is a preparatory boarding school founded in 1905. The Lauralton Hall Concert Choir and Advanced Vocal Ensemble are part of the school’s vibrant arts program and have performed nationally and internationally over the years , for example at Lincoln Center in New York City, at Walt Disney World Florida, as representatives of the state of Connecticut before President George W. Bush on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown in Virginia and during a papal mass in the Vatican.
