Comeradovera centres its inquiry on the catastrophic night of January 29, 1996, when La Fenice burned, using the event not to retell it but to probe what persists of collective loss in memories, bodies, and private histories of those who experienced or inherited its aftermath. The author is Stefano Fortin, while Giorgio Sangati directs. The production features recent graduates of the acting program: a Venetian school asking its young artists to handle material that is both historical and intimate, blending narratives, viewpoints, and fragments of public and private memory without forcing synthesis, so that the complexity of loss can emerge in full.
