Created by Australian choreographer Adam Linder in close collaboration with the dancers of the Dansk Danseteater, Drip Tekhne reflects on the process through which the human body becomes a technical apparatus for dance. The work, developed at the Copenhagen Opera House, unfolds as an inquiry into the transformation of corporeality in contemporary conditions.
The performance is structured in four parts, in which bodies pass through successive stages of metamorphosis: from primordial creatures to hybrid mechanical forms, and then into thinking individuals integrated within a community. The process ultimately culminates in a dancing collective, celebrating movement as an unparalleled technical expression of human biology.
By addressing the intersection between human bodies and digital technologies, Linder questions how physicality is shaped in an increasingly virtual world. The result is a layered aesthetic that weaves together movement, pop culture, music, visual art, architecture and fashion, producing a hybrid and multidisciplinary language.
