Alba Armengou, singer and trumpet player, ranges from swing and bebop to Latin jazz with inuences from Spanish and Catalan music. She sings in Catalan, Spanish, Portuguese and English. American vocal jazz with the great 20th century performers, in particular Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald, is an important and innate source of inspiration for her. Alba Armengou will present Blancos y Gratos (Whites and Grats), her new album together with guitarist Vicente López and percussionist and singer Tramel Levalle. This album fuses songwriting and Latin American folklore in a richly nuanced and emotional sound experience that takes listeners on a journey through each song.
