From 15 to 18 April, Venice opens the doors of its ateliers, craft workshops and creative studios to the public for Atelier Aperti 2026, an initiative conceived and organised by Venezia da Vivere and included in the official programme of the National Made in Italy Day, promoted by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
Over four days, more than fifty ateliers, workshops and creative studios across the city host over one hundred free events, including meetings, demonstrations, workshops, fashion shows and hands-on activities for adults and children. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of traditional and contemporary crafts, from Murano glass, weaving and paper-making to ceramics, printmaking, lutherie, jewellery, graphic design, typography, basketry and woodworking.
The 2026 edition revolves around the theme “In the Mode”, highlighting the relationship between fashion, sustainability, contemporary reinterpretations of traditional techniques and urban regeneration. The programme unfolds across several Venetian neighbourhoods and islands – including Cannaregio, Castello, San Polo, Giudecca and Burano – bringing together historic workshops and emerging creative spaces.
Among the featured events are Born to Dress Dreams, an encounter with designer Alessandra Micolucci at the Casa di The Human Safety Net in the Procuratie, the jewellery exhibition L’affaire du collier by Sigrid de Montrond at Lunardelli Venezia, and Studi Aperti a Castello, a neighbourhood fashion show organised by four local ateliers and involving residents of the area.
All events are free to attend, with either open access or booking required depending on the activity.
