As part of the seventh edition of the Venezia Photo Festival on the Island of San Servolo, Roger Ballen – one of the most influential and important photographers of the twenty-first century, with an artistic career spanning more than fifty years – will give a public talk titled BALLENESQUE – Roger Ballen, a Retrospective.
Known worldwide for his distinctive and powerful use of drawing, painting and collage, combined with various sculptural techniques in elaborate installations, Roger Ballen has developed a new hybrid aesthetic firmly rooted in the art of photography.
