The collaboration between the Conservatorio “Benedetto Marcello” in Venice and M9 – Museo del ‘900 aimed at deepening the understanding of the great masters of the 20th century continues and strengthens. On Friday, September 13, exactly 150 years after that September 13, 1874 when Arnold Schoenberg was born in Vienna, a concert for the Schoenberg Project 3 curated by Davide Amodio will be held in M9’s Cesare De Michelis Auditorium Happy Birthday Arnold Schoenberg! Arnold Schoenberg was among the twentieth-century composers who most contributed to changing the course of music history, going so far as to establish a truly original compositional system, a turning point for musicians of the last century; his influence is still strongly present today. The concert, which will focus on some of the Viennese composer’s great masterpieces, including the Suite for Strings with the Venice Conservatory Orchestra conducted by Prof. Amodio, aims to celebrate Schoenberg on his 150th birthday. The concert will open with the fantasia Op.47 for violin with accompaniment by a dancer, from an idea by Davide Amodio with choreography by Elena Ajani.
