Claudio Cojaniz, classically trained pianist and composer, approached jazz in the mid-1980s, releasing over thirty albums. Of these, ten are piano solo, one of his favorite formulas. With Balkan piano, the Friulian pianist, as a tribute to his Serbian origins, intends to celebrate the great Balkan musical tradition, too often forgotten, filtering it through the languages of blues and jazz, indispensable cardinal points of his musical universe. SoloPianoJazzFest is the first piano festival with which Laguna Libre wants to accompany Saturday night dinners in the wonderful music and art hall. At the centre, the new “Yamaha” C3 baby grand piano that the Giuseppe Verdi Academy of Music in Venice has donated on loan for use to the Laguna Libre.
