Light and colour in their decorative and symbolic essence. Artist Marialuisa Tadei leverages the ecstasy of perceptual, tactile vision to create, in her art, everything that proceeds from God – lightness and beauty, light and harmony of sound. Versatile in styles and materials, Tadei explores the relationship between art and religion, depicting the sacred as an invocation in icon forms, showing the need to connect earth and heavens both in single sculptures and in installations.
Together with others, the artist represents Grenada at the 59th Venice Art Biennale with exhibition An Unknown That Does Not Terrify, open until November 27, 2022 at Giardino Bianco – Art Space (via Garibaldi, Castello 1814). Tadei will present book Corpo Luce at the Grenadian Pavilion on June 24 at 6pm. Corpo Luce includes twenty-five poems by Davide Rondoni and critical essays by Luisa Turchi, Pierre Restany, Achille Bonito Oliva, Gabriele Holthuis, Gottlieb Leinz, Brane Kovic, Giorgio Cortenova, Omar Calabrese, Donald Kuspit, Valerio Deho.
