As part of the Venice Jazz Festival organized by Veneto Jazz, here is an appointment with a beautiful soul-jazz voice from the United States for the “open air” part of the festival on the beautiful terrace on the foundations of Cannaregio, on the edge of the homonymous canal, in synergy with Laguna Libre, Eco restaurant and World Jazz Club, the official jazz club of the festival. Courtney Santana is a singer, actress and performer who has been involved in music, theater and dance for over 20 years. Lead vocalist for the band The Atlantics, she was the lead singer for the 15-piece Monster Big Band and at Riverbend Church. In 2010, she started his own band and performs at major shows including HAAM Benefit Day and at the Topher Theatre. As a member of the Austin theater community, has been a part of such musicals as Dreamgirls, Fame, Porgy & Bess and RENT. She has performed with Brannen Temple, Guy Forsyth, Patrice Pike, Strings Attached, Malford Milligan, Nakia, Chanel Haynes and others. She has also opened tours alongside Kirk Whalum, Kyle Turner, Salt N Pepa and Musiq Soulchild.
