At a time when immersive technologies are becoming established in both the European and international markets, the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and the Veneto Region are joining forces to found a new innovative centre, the CSC Immersive Arts, on the island of San Servolo in Venice. The first Lab of the CSC Immersive Arts is scheduled from Thursday 7 to Tuesday 12 December, entitled “The Ecosystem of Immersive Production”, an intensive workshop aimed at producers in the film and cultural industry who wish to acquire skills useful for the production of Extended Reality content. The experts who will guide the participants are Alexander Herrmann, one of the most important creators of gaming of this kind in Europe, and Agata di Tommaso, International Sales & Festival executive of Diversion Cinema’s distribution sector. From Thursday 14 to Tuesday 19, the Lab “VR Animation. Quill a tool for creative storytelling’, dedicated to immersive storytelling for the animation and soundtracking of short films in Virtual Reality. A focus on the Quill software, which enables the creation of immersive content within a virtual environment and immediate feedback on the working process.
