Roger-Ducasse: who, better than him, can act as the symbol of the next generation, the one that Gabriel Fauré educated and mentored? A student of Fauré, Roger-Ducasse founded the Société musicale indépendante in 1909. He also headed the Ensemble course at the Conservatory, and taught composition until WWII. Quatuor Strada and pianist Simon Zaoui will show the public the enormous expressive weight that Fauré instilled in subsequent generations of musicians.
