The programme of the Venice Glass Week grows longer every year. After all, there’s so much to see and so much to marvel at in the world of glass! Local businesses are eager to join in, too, with luxury hotel The Gritti Palace producing Delizie Trasparenti (lit. ‘transparent delights’) on September 14. The event, curated by artist and chef Zoe Messinger, showcases her Gelée line of work, inspired by food, transparency, and artist Judi Harvest’s Centrotavola veneziano, a centrepiece commissioned by The Gritti Palace. The artwork is a glass still life realized in Murano. A transparent, locally-sourced aperitif will pay homage to Venice and its nature.
