Two ensembles and eight musicians protagonists of a residency at the Hybrid Music in Mestre and of an unprecedented concert at the Teatro del Parco Bissuola Culture Department of the Municipality of Venice: on December 3rd and 4th nusica.org arrives in the heart of Mestre, with the CREI project, created by the association with the support of the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Municipality of Venice and ADEIDJ – Association of Independent Jazz Labels. Involved for the occasion artists from different parts of Italy and the USA, active in two highly significant places for the city: Hybrid Music, chosen to host the artists’ workshops and the Teatro del Parco Bissuola, recently restored and returned to music , to the performance, where the concert of the two groups will come to life on Sunday 4 December at 19.30.
CREI – acronym for Composition Research And Improvisation – brings together two musical groups of different genres and styles, made up of musicians from different parts of Italy, established and young emerging talents, brought together with the aim of developing new languages and mixtures of styles and genres , composing and arranging original songs. The first ensemble led by saxophonist and co-founder of nusica.org Nicola Fazzini, is dedicated to acoustic jazz music and includes Francesca Remigi, drummer residing in the United States, the guitarist from Pescara Muhssin Piizi and the trombonist from Ferrara Federico Pierantoni. The second group, dedicated to electronic music, is led by bassist and co-founder of nusica.org Alessandro Fedrigo, and includes guitarist Frank Martino (guitar and effects), Giovanni Iacovella (drums and electronics) together with Claudio Sichel (visual arts ).
