Preceding the December ‘Advent in Music’ festival, the Basilica of San Giorgio Maggiore hosts the final concert of the art installation ‘Belonging’. The multi-sensory experience proposed to the public amplifies spaces and fuels contrasting emotions: the initial disquiet given by the work, which consists of seven bronze artefacts forming a crown of thorns, is transformed into inner peace, thanks to the dialogue between spectator, art and music. The art of Helga Vockenhuber, the music of Fabiana Magalhães and Rui Soares, and the sound of the monumental Nacchini organ in the Palladian Basilica will guide the spectator along this path, on the occasion of the exhibition’s finissage. The concert, which is part of the municipal programme “Le Città in Festa”, is the result of a collaboration between the Benedicti Claustra Onlus, a non-profit branch of the Benedictine Monastic Community, the Alessandro Marcello Association, Asolo Musica and the Vittorio Cini Archive Foundation. Admission is free.
