Singer-songwriter Gerardo Balestrieri on piano, voice and accordion, accompanied by double bassist Bebo Seggi, will treat you to a beautiful evening of music during your dinner. Gerardo Balestrieri is an established singer-songwriter and musician, as well as a close friend of the Laguna Libre. Born in Remscheid on 11 June ’71, he currently lives in Venice. A stateless singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer, he has published 12 records. Five appearances at the Premio Tenco songwriters’ festival: the albums were the second album of the year at the 2007, 2009 and 2013 awards. Also on the podium in 2016 with the album Canzoni Nascoste, third album of the year. Finalist again in 2017 with ‘Covers’. Concerts all over Europe and a tour in California, collaborations with Daniele Sepe, Bebo Stort. Recorded an album with Moshem Namjoo, the most important Iranian singer-songwriter, wrote and performed live the music for Arturo Brachetti the famous transformer. Author of the music and accordionist in Fulvio Abbate’s ‘Teatro degli Oggetti’. In 2015, he participated in the recording of Fabrizio De Andrè’s ‘Creuza de ma’ translated into Neapolitan, with the song Sidun. His album ‘The Best Of’ was released digitally on 21 April this year. Gerardo has a passion for swing, tzigan echoes, jazz and French music, all enhanced by his unmistakable voice and nuanced lyrics.
