Thursday 23 March on stage with Alvise Seggi on double bass and Matteo Alfonso on piano, Claudia Scapolo, aka Ginga. Born in Luanda and raised in Italy, she was gifted with a powerful and evocative voice that brought her closer to jazz, soul and gospel singing. Chorister and soloist of the “Summertime” gospel choir of Padua since 2010, she is a member of the prestigious vocal group “Halleluja Zucchero. Gospel Singers”, a project by the American singer Cheryl Porter, which leads her to tread the most prestigious Italian stages, collaborating, among others, with singers such as Mario Biondi, Zucchero, Eros Ramazzotti and Marco Mengoni. In 2017 Ginga’s first EP entitled Spring Time was released, produced and arranged by maestro Felice Del Gaudio for Irma Records. In 2019 she had the honor of being accompanied by the great American musician Stan Sargeant, Al Jarreau’s historic bassist.
