At the heart of the performance lies the phenomenon of appearance – its imprint, and the human doubt regarding the existence of an underneath and a beyond. The stage tests space and time to interrogate the perceptual conditions that make presence possible: what takes place, and where does this “what” reside? Not answers, but suspended questions: on the matter of the where, on the pull of semblance, on that which remains without an answer.
