Tribal percussion, analog electronics, dark and hypnotic layers — this and much more is what awaits audiences at Iggor Cavalera’s concert, on Friday, February 13 at 9 p.m. at Teatro del Parco, as part of You Theater, the music and dance season organized by the Culture Department of the Municipality of Venice in collaboration with the associations Macaco and Live Arts Cultures. Iggor Cavalera is a Brazilian musician. Together with his older brother Max Cavalera, he is one of the founding members of the Brazilian thrash metal band Sepultura. Cavalera is now the drummer of Cavalera Conspiracy and collaborates with Soulwax, Petbrick, and other projects. He is also one half of the DJ duo Mixhell, a project he founded with his wife, Laima Leyton, in 2006. Cavalera moves through the roots of metal and pushes beyond them, in a search that brings together body, rhythm, and trance. A physical and immersive experience, where sound becomes a collective heartbeat and a space to be crossed. A live performance that is a sonic ritual.
