A condensed version of Portrait, L’heure du thé reflects on the urge to capture and preserve a fleeting identity. Inspired by Cindy Sherman, Francesca Woodman, and Modigliani, Rebecca Journo creates a series of moving portraits where the body becomes mirror, reflection, and illusion. Four figures play with their own image, transforming and dissolving until every definition fades. The soundscape – crafted from crystal, water, and glass – shapes the space and distorts time, accompanying a dance that moves between intimacy and estrangement.
Founded by Rebecca Journo and Véronique Lemonnier, La Pieuvre develops a hybrid language that crosses dance, music, performance, and visual art, maintaining an independent voice and a keen sensitivity to the most contemporary forms of expression.
