You identify contemporary music with an ordeal of unbearable noise, such that it takes the patience of Job to sit through to the end? Listen to this rhyme. It will remind you of Meredith Monk’s brightest, eeriest gems. Who’s haunting who here is taken from the album that American composer Ben Vida recorded last year with Yarn/Wire, a two-pianists, two-drummers ensemble that works with composers, sound artists, and noise sculptors following curiosity, experimentation, and open-mindedness. Yarn/Wire will perform music by Lisa Streich and Zeno Baldi at Piccolo Arsenale Theatre on October 8.
