Formed under the leadership of saxophonist and composer Lorenzo Simoni, the Lorenzo Simoni 4TET is an ensemble composed of some of the best young jazz musicians in Italy. Shared by a deep passion for the rich Afro-American tradition, each member is distinguished by multiple influences making the group extremely original and heterogeneous. By virtue of their musical merits, the Lorenzo Simoni 4TET has also received prestigious international awards including the renowned Marco Tamburini Award and the Tomorrow’s Jazz 2022 Award held at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice and sponsored by Veneto Jazz. These awards testify to the quartet’s commitment and dedication to cultivating their art and developing a cohesive group identity.
