Argentinian filmmaker, visual artist, and dancer Melisa Zulberti challenges stereotypes with her multi-modal, socially aware work. Born in 1989, Zulberti is known for her site-specific performative installations, a mix of scenic arts, visual arts, industrial design, and technology. These installations are a dwelling for motion, and add to the dramatic and kinetic capabilities of the art. Posguerra is a reflection on time created specifically for the 2024 Venice Dance Biennale. Its protagonists are nine dancers who float mid-air and are surrounded by a set of CCTV cameras: a daring, surprising audio-visual ecosystem. Posguerra is, in the words of its creator, “a place with no day, night, past, or future.”
