There Was Still Time is the show with which Chiara de’ Nobili and Alexander Miller, known as Miller de Nobili, establish themselves as among the most interesting young Italians of their generation, winning the national competition for a new choreography of the Biennale Danza.
Today more than ever, in a world plagued by climate crisis, inequalities, violence, and war, people desperately seek to give meaning to their lives by taking refuge in the parallel reality of social media. But what happens if instead of evading, we stop to imagine possible futures in line with our desires and ideals? Freely inspired by Waiting for Godot, There Was Still Time starts from this question to rethink waiting. On stage, Nam Tran Xuan and Alessandro Ottaviani, like two modern Estragons and Vladimirs, involve the audience in a danced narrative that mixes urban and contemporary dance with breakdance and acting.
