After nearly debuting with Veneto Jazz in 2010, Raphael Gualazzi returns to the stage with his rich blend of swing, jazz, songwriting, opera, and film scores, a unique style that fuses diverse musical traditions. Born in 1981 and classically trained at the Conservatory, Gualazzi has always explored multiple genres, crafting a personal sound rooted in stride piano, jazz, blues, and fusion. On October 10 at Teatro Goldoni, he will open the Venezia Jazz Festival – Fall Edition with Anders Ulrich on double bass and Gianluca Nanni on drums. The acoustic set spans Afro-American inspirations, playful takes on Italian songs and opera, and selections from his own repertoire.
