Emergency Venezia re-proposes the film Rome open city by Roberto Rossellini (1945, 100 min) to give continuity to the project with which it intends to document the tragedy of war which mainly affects civilians and leaves dead, wounded, destruction, poverty. This film, a symbol of neorealist cinema, shot immediately after the end of the war with very little means, tells the story of occupied and resistant Italy. It is based on the true story of Don Morosini. The war, the sense of injustice, the pain expressed in a film shot while the war was still going on: not only a cinematic masterpiece but also a document of memory and humanity.
