M9 – Museo del ‘900 and the Italian Trekking Association, Triveneto section, promote a cycle of itineraries to discover the metropolitan paths of the contemporary city: 7 daily trips throughout 2022 to explore the municipal area of Venice and observe the main ones geo-urban and settlement emergencies, both in the city of water and in its mainland.
The itinerary The suburbs of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in the historic city will take place over two days, Saturday 24 September and Sunday 8 October. The two walks will cover the entire external perimeter of the historic city, identifying the main twentieth-century urban interventions up to the 2000s, in the public and private residence, in the productive settlements with their residential and tertiary reuse, in the business centers and in the railway and car terminals . Meeting at 10 at the Actv San Pietro di Castello pier, 5 hours of walking, stops excluded. The route will end in Piazzale Roma Sant’Andrea by 5.30 pm.
