On Sunday 13 October, at 6 p.m., in the Cesare De Michelis Auditorium of M9 the last appointment of the exhibition Sulle note del secolo. I Maestri del ‘900, organised by M9 – Museo del ‘900 in collaboration with the Conservatorio Benedetto Marcello in Venice. A mixed concert, piano and chamber music, will conclude the review with a programme that is varied in theme and content: Busoni’s virtuosic revisitation of a masterpiece of Bach’s violin repertoire, the rare listening of the “Capriccio” by the Armenian composer Babadžanjan, the sinister flashes of an unusual Ravel in his “Scarbo” from “Gaspard de la nuit” and finally another rare listening of a chamber music piece by the English composer Madeleine Dring. “Compared to the programming of the first edition, this second shows a more decisive choice of fully 20th century composers. We continue to place side by side with the great names of modern music masters not yet frequented by the general public, thus finally opening a broader and more articulated perspective to twentieth-century music,” declares Maestro Riccardo Vaglini, who will introduce the audience to the concert. The protagonists of this latest event are the students of Professors Gianluigi Pollo and Luisa Messinis.
