New Yorker John Zorn (b. 1953) dedicated his artistic life to contemporary musical language, working on a thousand projects with the most important names in the field, like Bill Frisell, Fred Frith, and Joy Baron. Few know that the organ was Zorn’s first instrument, which explains its collocation in a section of study of the acoustic potential of an instrument that made the history of Venice. The three concerts in The Hermetic Organ series surprised even John Zorn’s most dedicated fans.
