The famous Brazilian guitarist Toninho Horta is the guest of Candiani Groove. This is the next proposal of the event promoted by the Culture Sector of the Venice City Council with the artistic direction of Veneto Jazz. The guitarist will be on stage at the Auditorium Candiani in Mestre on Saturday 9 March with Pietro Tonolo on saxophones and flute, Alfredo Paixao on bass, and Jorge Rossy on drums. Toninho Horta, in the history of Brazilian music and beyond, deserves a place of great prominence, having developed the dictates of the great school of Minhas Gerais, his native region, and influenced the great musicians of the late 20th century even beyond the borders of South America. In 2020 he won the Latin Grammy. In his project we find at his side, in addition to Alfredo Paixao, one of the best Brazilian electric bassists resident in Europe, the great Venetian saxophonist Pietro Tonolo, one of the internationally recognised Italian jazz musicians, and the drummer and vibraphonist Jorge Rossy, whose versatility and sensitivity over time have placed him at the top of the world in his instrument.
