Palazzo Diedo will host Untitled (floor) as part of its permanent collection, a site-specific installation by Piero Golia (Naples, 1974; lives in Los Angeles). A neo-Dada and provocative artist, Golia has conceived an installation that evokes the Venetian terrazzo technique and follows a lengthy creative process in which waiting becomes an integral part of the artistic experience. The work blends into the floor of the portego at Palazzo Diedo, revealing itself only at nightfall. It plays with time and the viewer’s trust, sparking curiosity and desire. Berggruen presents the piece as a preview ahead of the grand reopening in May for the 19th International Architecture Exhibition.
