Disquieting similarity in the story of two young women, both named Paris. Call me Paris is a show by German author and performer Yana Eva Thönnes that will premiere at the 2025 Venice Theatre Biennale. One of the women is Paris Hilton – heiress, it-girl, selfie inventress, and unwitting protagonist of famous sex tape One night in Paris. The other woman is German, Paris is her nickname, and herself a protagonist of another Night in Paris. Eva Thönnes analyses the trauma of the two blondes and eviscerates the context of their cases and furthers her artistic research on the aesthetics of a new generation of theatremakers.
